Delightful Desserts, Kingswinford

Well..what can I say, I will never be going here again. We ordered food just before 7, an hour later and still no food. I called them up and spoke to what I thought what a lovely girl. She apologised and advised there’s been a build up in the kitchen as new staff but our food will arrive in 20 minutes. She then apologised again. It then got to 20 minutes and no food. We waited till 2045 and no food, so I contacted them again. I advised we don’t have our food which we ordered at 7pm. She apologised and advised it will come shortly but there’s been a build up in the kitchen. I advised this is what we was advised at 8pm and it’s now been almost 2 hours. She then put me in hold, she spoke to someone else as I could hear them. The other lady told her to give us a refund. She came back and advised we need to contact just eat and we will get a full refund. She also promised we will still get our food though. We managed to get the refund, but it got to 10:30pm and the restaurant closed and no food. All I can say is what a joke. Don’t make promises you can’t keep and sort your business out. If we were told the truth we wouldn’t have minded as much. If anyone wants desert, make your own or go to the shops. Don’t pay for a service like this one, because it’s definitely not delightful.

Had a delivery from here as a sweet treat and was really disappointed. We ordered cookie dough with ice cream and a chocolate milkshake. The cookie dough tasted lovely but the portion was tiny and came with 1 small scoop of ice cream. The milkshake was tiny (less than 1/2 pint) and tasted sour so it had to be thrown away. That cost £12! I emailed the company direct and never heard back so won’t be using them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

The lady who served me today was absolutely wonderful. She could not do more to make our experience anymore welcomed. The food was also very tasty. We will defiantly be returning.

2nd time ordering here now, and it’s just amazing! As long as you plan your order for the time you want it there is no problems. This is only a small business and has a ‘family feel’ to it which is really nice. The delivery driver who delivered it (lovely lady) to The Portway on 29/06/18 was fantastic! Driving around in this heatwave and still really happy and cheerful! And the ice cream hadn’t melted! We had the cookie dough and waffles with milkshakes and it was just really nice. It was a really good price also considering what you get! We will no doubt be ordering here again!

I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant again. At 8:30, we received a call informing us that our order would be delayed by 20 minutes due to unforeseen circumstances. When I called again at 9:40, as the shop was closing at 10, the staff were rude and aggressive. I was unable to speak to the manager, and they refused to provide the name of the staff member who yelled at me over the phone. It's now 11pm and our order still hasn't arrived, so I assume it won't be coming tonight. This place is an absolute joke, don't bother wasting your time.
