Bidrage med feedbackIts out with the old, and in with the new! Pho Dublin has replaced Pho Saigon in Dublin. We 've always had great meals at Pho Saigon, and I even got a ROTD for ot a while ago. Pho Dublin has a very similar layout, but they 've added two large flatscreen TVs and seem to have a larger menu. You have the usual staples like spring rolls, pho, bun, Hu Tieu, and Shaking Beef but also salads and desserts! We 're talking about mango panna cotta and coppa mascarpone! The spicy beef noodle soup (BBH) had nice lemongrass flavors and spicy kick. I only had a small taste and liked it. The wife felt the congealed pork blood had a rougher texture than she liked and the noodles were a bit thin. Pleasanton 's Pho Saigon City remains here favorite for BBH. I got the grilled pork and egg roll bun. Nicely-cooked and seasoned pork and the egg roll was hot and crispy. ' Definitely liked how the sauce and veggies worked together along with crunchy peanuts. I would have liked more pickled veggies. Overall, solid dish. 4 stars. Will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu. Glad there was an in-kind replacement for Pho Saigon!
After running errands in the area, my Dad wanted to get a late lunch at Pho Saigon. He's been before but it was my first time. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and I was surprised to see how busy it was! We were seated immediately and our order was taken pretty fast. I wasn't too hungry so ordered the A6 Gỏi Cuốn, which are Summer Rolls. The Summer Rolls were fresh and had a nice amount of pork in them. Compared to other restaurants I found these rolls to be on the smaller and skimpier side. I also bit into a couple of shrimp shells while eating my rolls. My Dad ordered #19 Phở Gà, which is a Chicken Pho. He loved, slurped, and enjoyed all of his pho. Service was okay. The workers mainly stayed at the front and only came to the table to serve our food. I had to flag the server down a few times for water. Utensils and condiments are provided on the table for easy access and you go up to the front to pay. I found the restaurant to not be the cleanest. I spotted several flies buzzing around me and landing on other customers. Overall, food was decent but I probably won't be back. Just a note, they're moving to a new location in Pleasanton at the end of the month.
A colleague of my wife recommended this place to us and said this was the go to Pho place for her Vietnamese neighbors. I 'm happy to have taken their recommendation! tl;dr: come for the food, not for the service! For their beef noodle soup pho , they have a ton of different combinations and happy to see that they have both tendon tripe on their menu. You can upgrade to a large bowl for only $0.50! #5 Rare steak, brisket, tendon tripe the broth of the soup was fantastic and had lots of umami flavors. Meat were delicious and came with a side of basil, bean sprout, and lime to add. #Grilled Pork Egg Roll over Vermicelli: I love Bun and they do it well here. The pork was tender and had a nice grilled flavor, but the egg rolls were definitely the star of this dish! The outside was hot crispy and the inside was packed with flavor. We were almost tempted to just get an order of egg rolls afterwards just to have some more! I wished that they served it with a sweet sour sauce, which didn 't come with the dish. They were very quick to get our orders and we got our food relatively quick. However, once we were done, we had to find one of the staff to pay the bill after waiting about 10 minutes for someone to come by. The staff who also took our order tended to wear her mask below her mouth when taking orders, which is a no no in my book.
The Great George F of San Ramon pointed me in the direction of Pho Saigon. I took a look at the Yelp reviews and found my other peeps with great comments. Ordered the Grilled Pork Chop Combo and a BBQ Pork Wonton and Noodle soup using the Yelp app. All ready and packaged well to travel. The pork plate was indeed delicious. Good seasoning with plenty of veggie condiments and vermicelli noodles. The wonton came deconstructed and was easy to assemble. Nice flavored broth and topped off with cilantro, bean sprouts, a lime with a hoisin packet. I don 't really pho, so this was just perfect for me. Definitely a 5 star carry home dinner!
They don't have overwhelming menu. The food is good my friend had soup and I had the grilled pork chop. Staff was friendly and place is clean. They have a cute outdoor dining area where we stayed.
