The Manhattan - Dublin Road, Ratoath

Update, with the lockdown restrictions to close at 8, although 2 days ago they told me that they stop serving food 1.5 h prior to closing, today they stopped serving food a little after 6 pm, almost 2 h prior to closing. The taller manager was pissed off that I even put in an order for food, told the waitress to refuse the order I put in. So you never know, every day they decide when they wanna stop serving food, no consistency and rude. Very frustrating to be honest.

Used to go to the **** and Bull regularly, first time being here since it changed to The Manhattan. Food was tasty, we got small nachos which were a generous portion. Ordered a large portion of buffalo wings which were fine but very dry so asked for a bit more sauce. Also got two glasses of MiWadi. Shocked was an understatement when the bill arrived €2.20 charged for each glass of the MiWadi and €1 for the bit of extra wing sauce (which was cold). I get that you've to cover your costs but seriously you can buy a full bottle of dilute for that price. Servers were nice and attentive but the same server never returned to our table so dealing with different people throughout your visit.

I'm torn with this place. As a bar/pub I hate it. Never in a million years would I go here for a beer. Its way too dark in here during the day. We have to use our flashlight on our phones to read the menu. The only good thing about having a beer here is that they have a beer garden. On the other hand they do food. This is where they excel. There is a good selection after 3pm. Everything I have tried is very tasty. As a bar I'd give it 3 out of 10 For bar food I give it 10 out of 10

As a bar for a few drinks I don't like it. It's not to my taste. Its a popular pub so others do like it. Their saving grace is that they also do food and this is where they shine. I've been in here a times for food and loved everything that I tried. Wings are always a great starter. Pretty much anything for mains is good.

Great food wide local/foreign draught beer selection, proper sheltered smoking area out the back, 30 seconds wobble back to Raheny DART train station, lively to full on weekends, but door policy keeps tracksuit skobies out (unless they're undercover in their strutting plumage of polo, skinny jeans Vapormax). Unpretentious. Popular. Will gain last star when the departure of weekend door staff indicates the departure of punters that require door staff.
