In 2019, our family experienced multiple funerals, so we decided to come together for a joyous occasion. We chose to have Afternoon Tea at The Vintage Teapot. There were 18 of us, including a few cousins from our extended family. The experience was truly fabulous. The food was delicious, with a great variety to choose from, and the selection of teas was impressive. The staff provided excellent service, even while attending to other customers. I highly recommend a visit to The Vintage Teapot. The unique decor and reasonable prices make it a must-try. I can't wait to return for another meal the next time I'm in town.
Located just across from the renowned M&L restaurant and operated by the same team, this establishment integrates Irish and Chinese teatime customs. They offer a diverse selection of teas to enjoy alongside cakes or dumplings. The venue is very cozy, featuring a sofa nook in the back that is ideal for catching up with friends. Conveniently situated just a short distance from O'Connell Street.
I was here for a Dumpling making course, had a great evening, learned all about where the ingredients were bought in Dublin, how to make the fillings, and then we attempted to fill our own. I really enjoyed it, great set up, the place itself is gorgeous, the dumplings were delicious and there was so much food we ended up taking some home for lunch the next day!
I had been wanting to try afternoon tea in Dublin and the concept of a fusion Chinese-Irish tea caught my attention. Overall, my experience was okay but not something I would hurry back to. The dumplings were flavorful but not as good as what I make at home. The Western pastries were a mixed bag – the scones were dry but the macarons were delicious. I was hoping for a bit more from the experience. The service was slow, with only one waitress handling the entire café, including the front register. The restaurant was nicely decorated but felt empty. For most of our tea, we were the only customers there, which felt a bit strange.
