Old Mill - Dublin

Excellent food, we stopped for a lunch while walking around Dublin we had crumbed chicken strips and chips served with aioli sauce aswell as a cheese garlic bread to share . The service staff were friendly and polite, an absolute must if your in the area

My family and I went for lunch here . We walked upstairs to the restaurant which is situated in main Temple bar area . The service is quick friendly and professional and the servings are large and hearty . I had Irish stew with lamb whilst my teens had chicken Caesar salad which they said was the best ever . This had a traditional feel to it which is why we chose it . Prices are standard Dublin prices .I would recommend this restaurant

The food grossly overpriced for tasteless pasta, The green Thai curry served with burnt chips when the order stated basmati rice, rice was duly brought, microwaved and in hard lumps. Avoid this overpriced third world offerings.

We’ve been here many times before and always had a great experience. This visit however was dreadful. It started well we were seated outside, the nicest server, had cocktails and were served our starter. However our mains took over half an hour after we’d finished our starters and we asked to be moved inside as it had got quite late. When the food came, my husbands wasn’t as he had ordered. And half his plate contained stone cold food. Two waiting asked how our food was and I explained the issues we’d had. No one came to try sort our issue. They then asked for us to pay our bill before we’d finished which I again complained about. The server apologised and said she’d asked the manager to come speak to us and she hadn’t. She asked if I still wanted to speak to the manager and I said it was too late as they had insisted the bill was paid. The manager came to speak to me anyhow, very aggressive and defensive. She offered us a round of drinks but we had already decided to leave. She didn’t offer any refund on the meal. They have risen the prices considerably following Covid so I expected a much better service.
