Bidrage med feedback10/10 experience. Would highly recommend the beef and Guinness pie, best meal of my trip and bartenders Jamie and Robert couldn’t have been kinder or provided better service. A Howth must do if you ask me!
This is a lovely spot that never fails everytime I go, my family and I had the honour of having Katie as our server, she was full of energy and boosted all our moods! We all ordered off her recommendations and none failed. We will definitely be returning and hoping that Katie is on!
Great anytime. Awesome staff. Robert and Nikoli were super. Really made us feel welcome. The soup was amazing. When I gave my wife a taste her eyes lit up. Fish and chips was spot on. Worth traveling 6000 miles for. And dessert was perfect. The Rockstone cider and blonde beer recommended by staff was out of this world. Ambiance was wonderful. They have a genius for a chef as well.
Went O'Connells bar for the first time on the 23rd Aug even though I've been to Howth hundreds of times over the years. The staff were brilliant and the food was delicious. I had our 8 month old baby with us and after I finished feeding him a staff member asked if I'd like our bowls and cutlery (which we brought with us) cleaned. It's the little things that make the difference and have to say the staff were on the ball from the minute we opened the door to leaving. Super efficient taking orders, food came promptly and bill came when asked. Highly recommend for the great staff and old style pub atmosphere
Location brilliant. Ambience inside brilliant. A really amazing vibe on a busy Sunday afternoon. Not knowing the pub we had booked outside. Which was a shame. However we had good service from a lovely waitress. But I thought the food was disappointing and over priced. I had the fish pie. It was 70% potato. And very very dry. No moisture whatsoever. I think it had been over cooked. At €18 I would have expected a much larger and tastier dish. My guests had Piti Piti prawns. A small skillet for €24. A burger €17 and my wife the haddock skillet. Tasty but tiny for an Irish pub. But the ambience was top class and for a drink I would definitely go back. But not to eat. .
