We didn't necessarily go to Dublin to eat at an Asian restaurant, but we tried this location on the recommendation of friends. It did not disappoint. They had great food, service and sushi. We even came back for a second dinner toward the end of our trip. The people working there were very friendly and did a great job!
Very glad to find a sushi restaurant for lunch that was sensitive to my needing gluten-free, preparing Salmon Avocado and Salmon Rocket G-F, as well as a Seaweed Salad with seaweed I had never had before. My wife loved her Chicken Kimchi Ramen. Small hot sakes were just E7.95.
We had the Benton box which had a green Thai curry, rice, deep fried prawns, two pieces of sushi and miso soup. It's was a lovely varied lunch. The Thai curry was special! It was sooo delicious, fragrant, rich, creamy.... The real deal, I could have been in Thailand. We also had the nasi goreng which was just as we remembered from having it in Indonesia... Brought back some great food memories! Definitely recommend this place!
I was in Dublin on Thursday 2 June and decided to take a stroll down Capel Street to check it out since it was pedestrianised. It was around dinner hour, so I checked out some restaurants along the street. I decided to step into Eatokyo and try out its fare. On entry I was welcomed and shown to my table and presented with the extensive menu. I’m not a regular Japanese food eater, so the very helpful waiter talked me through the menu. I ordered the Shichimi Duck. This was a deep fried roasted crispy duck served with shichimi spice, sweet chilli sauce, mixed vegetables, and a bowl of steamed rice on the side. It was not a bad dish and very tasty. The shichimi spice mixed with the sweet chilli sauce was very flavoursome. The only thing that, in my opinion, let it down was the boiled rice. It was very sticky. But overall, it was a good experience at reasonably priced dishes.
