Cibo Cafe - Dublin

I stopped by Minetta over the weekend for a coffee and sandwich. I ordered the Howth Crab sandwich but was disappointed to find that there was no crab on it, just a gooey sauce and spinach. When I discreetly mentioned this to the server, another staff member loudly insisted that there was plenty of crab in the sandwich, despite not seeing it. The owner then came over and defended the sandwich, claiming it was a best seller with melted crab and gruyere cheese. I declined a replacement sandwich and found the whole experience embarrassing. The aggressive and self-righteous behavior from both the owner and staff was uncalled for. I was unimpressed with how I was treated and regret not taking a photo of the lack of crab in the sandwich.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we strolled around the hill of Howth and stopped at Minetta on our way home. The restaurant had a cool vibe with funky music playing. We enjoyed an Aperol Spritz each, accompanied by delicious complimentary potato chips. It felt like we were on vacation!

The restaurant is overpriced, with slow service and bad food. Be cautious not to be tricked into purchasing something you don't want. I will never return, and neither will any of my friends. Overall, a terrible experience.

I ordered a take away of 3 main courses for dinner last night and each one was divine so nice to have dinner ready to pop into the oven and have at your leisure.

Stopped by here for some lunch on the way into Howth. There are plenty of options to choose from, but it's hard to pass their amazing crab toasties. Reasonably priced, friendly service and always lots of nice sweet options for after. Highly recommended.
