Cavistons - Dublin

A wonderful experience. Delicious fish beautifully cooked and presented. We found the service was excellent efficient and friendly. Lovely menu..not too many dishes. Specials were explained on arrival. We had one of these as a starter (Crab) and it was superb. The wine choice was excellent for fish accompaniment and not excessively expensive with a good range of prices. We chose the Muscadet to start and had a more expensive Chablis with the mains as we were celebrating our anniversary. A really pleasant experience and we will definitely be back...

I went to Cavistons restaurant with all the expectations of fantastic fish and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Brill and it was of a high quality. The atmosphere was also very good and the staff were very attentive. Everyone had a very enjoyable meal and the house white was very good. Would recommend for a special night out.

First time there. Very disappointed. Staff are obviously untrained. Food was not great...good basic ingredient of fish but served skin side up and covered in a tomato based sauce where a simple beurre blanc would have been better. Awful fried potatoes instead of a fresh new potato . We wouldn't go back.

A wonderful seafood restaurant, great service and the food and wine are quite exceptional. The tagliatelle was amazing as was the albarino and the smoked salmon....

A group of 7 of us went here on a Saturday night and we had a fantastic night. The food was superb, with the seafood obviously the highlight, though the steak main course was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful and gave a lovely happy birthday rendition for the birthday girl in our group Great range of beers and wine, with the draft Guinness as good as you will get. Overall, a lovely night and highly recommended.
