Cafe Sol Mater Hospital - Dublin

I occasionally work in Mater and I must say the staff at Cafe Sol on level 1 are incredibly friendly. They always greet you with a smile and chat, and the service is very fast. They all deserve a big Christmas bonus. Happy holidays!

Every time I visit Cafe Sol, the staff always seem like they would rather be somewhere else. Yesterday morning, when I went in for a coffee, the man behind the counter just handed it to me without a smile. I had to confirm with him if it was my order, and he seemed irritated when I asked where the milk was. The rest of the staff behind the counter appeared to be sour and unhappy, lacking basic manners. I would recommend going to Peacock Green instead, where the food is superior and the staff are friendly and well-trained.

I have been here now a number of times and have had nothing but good experiences. The staff are helpful, most efficient and personable (take a bow, David! . The coffee (cappuccino is always of top quality and thanks to local promotions is often quite reasonable. Pay a visit if you are in the area.
