Bidrage med feedbackThis review does not focus on the gift shop the restaurant (which I haven't eaten for years). Such a cute business with a variety of products from home decor to jewelry, children's items, snacks, bath soaps and shrubs and they also sell Vera Bradley. It's more story so prepared for stairs. It's a great place to spend some time with it. Prices are also decent.
A must to visit, have lunch in a civil war Era house to just outside the Muirfield Village near the Columbus Zoo, from Morgan County in 1985. The owners have poured a lot into this gift shop restaurant combined. That's not a cracker barrel, it's much better! My wife and I went for lunch and both had Pot Pie, which offered a choice of the site: salad, chips or fruit. The healthier side of us chose the side of the fruit that was freshly cut. All were delicious! There are two main dining areas, and we have actually seated in the original Weaver house (which owned the house in Morgan County, while General Morgan decided to stay there several times in the civil war Era) and enjoyed a cozy fire (both dinning areas have fireplaces). After lunch there is a multi-level gift shop to the explorer. When you shop in an area, you quickly discover many other areas and levels, including furniture. We love non-cookie butter restaurants and shops to stop this in a must! Handicap access is available for the main wind area with a ramp in the rear part of the building.
The menu has not changed much over the years, but if it is not broken, why it repair? Recommend the roast beef sandwich. The Pesto Pizza is newer, but also good. Soups and desserts may vary. Years ago I had the best key lime cake here and I had it in the Florida Keys! Unfortunately, the chef had recently not made a cake (beard cabbage has sounded good). Fun to look through the shop while waiting for a table. The prices are better than some of the other small shops in the city on many articles too.
You really have a lot of variety. Decor and novelty. Fun place to find fun things
Wonderful place to visit when on Columbus area. Make sure to save time for lunch. Lots of lovely hand made gifts and goodies. I always get there so signature wild rice soup so Good!
