The drinks and atmosphere is a 5 star! Now the evening brunch food which costs a fortune is not for Dubai food lovers! Very minimalistic and you have to beg to get more portions for starters! The service was good and alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were of very high quality!
Nikkei or nikkei, maybe not. unless they are a market broker or a Japanese immigrant after peru! while the former is called the Japanese market, it stands for a refined and fast-paced fusion kitchen that includes Japanese cooks with Peruvian ingredients and/or vice versa. If you want to experience the subtle yet eloquent delicacies of the Japanese Peruvian fusion kitchen or short “Nikkei”, you will go to the waka restaurant and the bar located within the lively oberoi hotel in business bay. What's in business for her? .... an amazing new manifestation in the culinary experience that explodes in her mouth! try for example the washabi chutney (very small pinch,) which enters into their nasen holes or the very narrow single discs as a prelude to joyride! ok. more and more serious now: they have to choose the a la carte and set menu for them! from the diktum, if we are looking for help in the case of doubt, we agreed for the restaurant set Brunch menu; this is a four curs plus drinks oth. Drinks: mango mule that is a twist of mango, gurke, lemon, orange and habanero sirup; extraordinary! passion sheban is a mocktail mix of passion fruit, orange and lemon juice, enriched with mint and sugar; a harmonie of fruity aromas and fumigation of minze! I tried the cabernet sauvignon white wine first and then changed to the red as soon as the main courses began to come. we had nachos with wakamole(it is “waka” for guacamole;) a version of the very popular Mexican avocado dips. thicker, launish and delish! del mercado ceviche; now ceviche is a South American dish of marinaded raw fish or seafood. this is a Peruvian variant of it inspired by limette juice, bevelled and red paprika. there are many arguments about the origin of this teller, but food historians add it to the inkas! abura and veggie maki roll: the abura maki is rolled on garnelen and has a disc raw thunfisch to skip it! veggie maki had maize filling and a generous refilling of the dynamite sauce above! presentations were an intense firm for the eyes. ! I asked for a soy sauce as dip and it was good with it! spicy mais empanadas: glowing form empanadas with a liberal filling of mais and Gouda cheese; this starter was completely different in taste and it came with a beautiful dip of crushed torots and tomats. net: grilled chicken: this had a levantine look, feel and probably taste it, although I could recognize a hauch of Mexican flavor in it; soft and juicy. peruvian paella: although it looks like the Spanish paella, this is a fusion of a Japanese answer on roast rice with seafood cooked in a paella tank! in the Peruvian cuisine this dish is called arroz con mariscos, which has significant oriental roots due to the Japanese influences! that was a damn good dish, and probably the best paella I have tasted so far! quinoa risotto: a Quinoa adaptation of risotto instead of the traditional rice risotto that they have changed to a star dish; also a stupidity about it. for the side we had well presented shells of potato, baked carrots, french fries, grilled vegetables and green salad; all well synchronized with the net! dessert: we were served salted caramel cheesecake and made in house lollipops. the salted caramel and the cheesecake united, was a burst of the aromas in their mouth. exquisite! lollipops were rolled in caramel and the inside sides were chocolate filled; it seems for years since I had a sucker! all these were presented on a slanted plate beautifully dressed! brilliant! the aromas of nikkei and Latin America took me on a journey through the remembrance of culinary history! the fusion food created in my palate a full of aromen! I'll go back. “waka” and I will go again? that I will! special asx to monono, the manager! ... and also marvin the steward.
Great Peruvian restaurant with surprising aromas. probably the best Peruvian restaurant in vae. ask for recommendations of the server. desserts were also great.
