Bidrage med feedbackI had an amazing experience at this restaurant that offers a variety of fresh vegetables sourced locally from farmers. I was delighted to find flavorful tomatoes, fresh eggs, and excellent organic oil from Palestine. They also offer olives from Greece and various specialties from countries like Greece and the Emirates. The restaurant has an open-air dining area that looks very welcoming and clean, even in winter. I was informed that they will be moving to a different area of Dubai in the summer, so it's best to check their website for updates starting in April.
The Farmers Market on the Terrace is a unique experience in Dubai. Unlike other markets, this is a true peasant market where local farmers come to sell their organic products. The prices here are more affordable compared to other organic markets in the city. There is also a Seed Swap stand where you can exchange plants/seeds with other people. In addition, there are coffee, juice, and bakery stands for breakfast options. You can also find plants, honey, and olive oil for sale. While there may not be a wide variety of fruits due to the climate, the vegetables are exceptional. This market is one of the few places in the city where you can feel a sense of community.
This morning, I visited the peasant market on the terrace at its new location in Bay Avenue Park, right next to the Taj Hotel in Business Bay. The market is smaller than Ripe (another farmer's market in Dubai) and focuses more on fresh products and food. There were around 10 stands offering large fresh local products. Additionally, there is a Baker Spice pop-up restaurant serving fresh bread and hot and cold breakfast options. However, the vegan and vegetarian selection at their stand could have been better. There is also a coffee stall available. The new location has ample parking and two playgrounds nearby, making it a great spot for families with young children. The prices are very reasonable, with sugar maize priced at AED 15 per kilo, cherry tomatoes at AED 15 per kilo, and bread at AED 10 each.
Astonishing offer of fresh vegetables, made in front of site by farmers. happy to find tomaten, the taste and eggs of the day. I found excellent organic oil from palestina, olives from Greece and many specialities from these countries and emirates. the place is open in winter and it looks very nice and clean. they told me they were moving in the summer in another area of dubai. ab april it is better to check on the website
Some can compare the farmers maket on the terrace with some other (good) initiatives that go on in dubai, but it is not the same. this is the only real farmer market where they deal with the farmers coming from the dubai environment to sell their organic products. an organic market, like ripe, is another thing (from the trips. the prices on the building market are inaccurately cheap compared to all other organic sites in dubai. there is also a swap stand once in the month where they can bring their own plants/seeds and swallow with others. a coffee stand, a juice stand and baker spice make it possible to have breakfast there. there are also plants for sale, honey, olive oil. not too many fruits because I guess that the climate does not allow the sweet but incredible. it is one of the only places in this city where I was able to see wisely a communal bond.
