The Northwood Restaurant Bar

Well, I had eaten here every trip to the island with generally good service and food. Last week, I ordered a boasted chicken basket, all white meat for $2 extra. I received two microscopic wings and a breast. I asked, and a wing is considered whitemeat . Virtually no meat on the wings at all. The breast was so tough I couldn 't chew it. It had to be a leftover or a re-heat.I don 't think I will go back.

I wish I could share with just the restaurant. We've been going here for years. In the past they've had the best mac n cheese in Michigan. However, recently they've changed their recipe and now it is my least favorite of all I've had. The overwhelmingflavor of onions and onion powder has ruined this dish. Pleased, for everyone that loves Mac n cheese please bring back yourboursin recipe. You have a great staff and fun atmosphere. Don't mess with perfection!

Good place. Walleye cheeks must be seasonal, missed those. Set up like a mullet: dining room (business) in the front, sports bar (party) in the back! Seriously, solid place, good food and service. It won't disappoint unless you cant keep in mind you'reon an island in a fairly remote place. If you can't keep that in mind, please immediately go back to suburbia. ????

Great place for a meal or a frosty beverage. It's Island time so just chill and enjoy the ambiance. They had live entertainment on Friday night. The locals were warm and the beer was chilly!
