Brandywine Valley Bread - Downingtown

Good bagels! I’ve only ever bought them to go to have at home. Bagels are good and fresh! Can’t speak to ordering with any toppings or preparations. These bagels are on the slightly pricier side compared to other local bagels shops I’ve gone to, but reasonable for an occasional weekend treat!

I love going here. The bagels are always delicious. I will have to go back soon.

The baked goods are wonderful here! They’ve added a coffee menu, which is also great especially considering the lack of good coffee around. The only downside is their prices- $2.75 for an in-house bagel I can get behind, but another $3 to add some chive cream cheese is tough to swallow.

I am gluten intolerant and I can eat all their baked goods with no problem. They are not technically gluten free but they are ancient grains which many gf people can eat (though obviously eat at your own risk). If you want to have that delicious, soft, non-crumbly bread experience again that gf can never achieve, then give this a try!

The prices were expensive but I was still excited to give it a try. They didn’t offer any way to do breakfast sandwiches so instead I opted to get jalapeño cream cheese. For about 7 dollars including tax a received a bagel that was not even cut down the middle. If you are getting a dozen bagels maybe this is the place for you but I would not recommend going for a casual breakfast.
