Red Lobster - Downers Grove

That was me and my husband. We left when they open. Like any Red Lobster. Santos was on that morning server. He did an excellent job. We made the endless shrimp trade. Everything or food was crash and delicious. We will visit this place again.

5 stars for Santos! He was our server and he was GREAT. One thing he did was so meaningful: I have food restrictions that I let him know and once he came back to take my order, he corrected himself to ask something I would like to say, have you found everything you can eat? This is actually so worrying that many servers do not recognize. I find many things on menus that sound delicious, but my selection is limited. So he said he recognized the fight for me. In addition, he was attentive, personal, so patient with my father when he tried to pay the tablet, give him room to find it on his own and encourage him, as well as treating a substitute meal for someone in our party so well. He made our experience independent of any factor.

My wife and I stopped for lunch. I had the endless shrimps. The different varieties of shrimp were good, but not as good as their other food choices (steak, fish, pasta, etc.). Our waiter was extraordinary. Red Lobster is lucky to have him as an employee. Like anyone who ever sat in Red Lobster knows, their cookies were great as usual. We'll be back.

Very typical Red Lobster experience (not great, but nothing overly terrible). Interior was clean and fresh (not tired of looking) server was helpful, only not very present (we were not in a hurry, but there is a great difference between attentive and absent). Food was with previous Red Lobster experiences I wish they would make it easier to find the nutritional information (they foods tend to have a lot of salt, but you really need to dig to find this information). The payment equipment on the table side did not work and added even more delay

The place was not packed at all on a snowy Thursday night. The guy at the entrance was least bothered to guide us to a table, nor were we given any cutlery by him until we asked for it after the meals were served, hence a star less, our server was a very nice lady though, polite, took our orders aptly and got the food in a timely manner. The food was great, well made and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were enormous for any of us to finish it. Overall, highly recommend place to visit.
