Applebee's Grill - Dover

The hostess was like zombie, zero care. Waited 15 minutes before our waiter came to ask about drinks. The meal was not delivered complete and was cold. The waiter did not check on us for at least 20 minutes after the full meal was delivered. It took another 20 minutes to find him to get the check, after we were visibly finished. Very poor service and the food was sub par at best. Very disappointed.

Orders grilled shrimp and chicken breast with mashed potatoes. It has no seasoning to it. I needed to add salt and ask for some sauce. All the waiter offered was A-1 sauce. It was good enough to fill my daughter and I stomach but doesn’t make me want to come back. Also, the server gave us two dirty plates with our appetizers. I had to send them back. Smh

Great service and food. Ann (the manager) is very friendly and works around making sure everything is fine and you are enjoying your meal. We even chatted some about motorcycle rides and places to ride too. If I didn't live about two hours away I would definitely be back soon.

Yesterday, both me and my son ate there for the first time, and everything was smooth and well. Michelle, our waitress, did a phenomenal job! She made an amazing suggestion and checked on us making sure we were ok. Only thing that upset me, was the hostess. She was social with these other guests sitting at another table and wasn’t like that with us. Felt disappointed because we felt discriminated. I used to be a hostess for a family owned restaurant and I treated everyone with respect and socialized with them. This was my first time working as a hostess too. One thing that blew me off was how she, the hostess, collected our cups without asking if we were done. She simply said she doesn’t like to see the place dirty. Ok! I get it but we weren’t done eating and having the powdered donuts dessert, made my throat dry. The remaining of my soda and my son’s, could have been useful or we could have used a refill. I’m always fair with giving great reviews, but this one, not so much. The only person that made our stay pleasant was Michelle. Thank you for your help and amazing service!

We enjoyed our dinner out. So happy they still have the French Onion Soup! So good!!The Sweet and Spicy Chicken sandwich didn't disappoint...and husband enjoyed his Bacon Burger and Caesar Salad. The atmosphere is family friendly, relaxed, with tvs and a good vibe setting. Will def go again.
