Bidrage med feedbackI stopped twice over a month from Plains Trading Post Restaurant. I traveled to travel through Douglas through Wyoming. I marked this as a place to stop for me and my family. The first station was for breakfast. I had a big omelette, with a decent share and not a long wait for the food. The second visit was with another group for lunch. The rest of my party had a simple side or a sandwich. I thought my double cheeseburger was good with many fries. They offer condiments that you want (preferably to charge extra or not to ask). The history and decor of the restaurant is interesting. Read their story on the menu. This facility consists of some historic buildings, including the attached motel. There are smokers in this restaurant that bothered me some, although smoking only in the bar (entry) I think. Besides the restaurant is an ice salon. There are only a few seats, but there are leaks. Nice break, again, for a trip. Service was friendly and fast, but casual (no hurry). I'm sure I'm going to stop by Wyoming.
Solid house style cooking. Great selection including breakfast all day. Loved the decor with something new in every dining room. The service was also on site on 4 July.
1. Review I have ever written in all our travels... absolutely LOVE this place. The story is incredible! It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the last 40 years! Supporting property and staff for the proud participation in this place and the extra mile. Food and service was excellent! They don't make them so!!!
Large historic building with great furnishings! Love they still have a salad bar on the hunter's buffet. Food was good.
Really good food. Good service. Very home like home made food. Had big portions bignenough you'd have to take it home. Everything tasted really good.
