Le Glacier Moderne Akwa - Douala

Le glacier modern had a remarkable architecture. a beautifully designed place where they would not notice the time pass. 4 stars because it is slightly overpriced (1,5L water for 1,500F), but I would recommend it for a classic rework.

Beautiful, neat, good service and good place to cool off. But there is need for them to work on the quality of their meals. While some are tasteless, some are too sharp. Nevertheless their hamburger tasted great today

I love the recent renovation here in 2020 The decoration is soft and minimalist. One of my favotite spots to enjoy desert.

Food good but poor service. I arrived at Glacier Moderne Akwa Immeuble Socar. I waited 20min before a waitress brought me the menu although there were many waiters/waitresses free. After handing over the menu to me she did not even border to take my order and took off immediately. Then come another waiter to take my order. Then I when paying closer attention to new customers arriving I realised that customers have to call in to be given the menue. IOrdered coffee with milk and some sauteed shrimps. I thought the coffee will arrive later as a digestive but arrived first. Worst, I tried to poor coffee and milk in my cup but it kept spilling all around. The containers are simply not made to serve coffee neither milk. However the shrimps were delicious and meals most of them) are affordable. They need to drastically improve the service though. I previously complained about Le Glacier Moderne Coffee jars but this time it is about what they call cappuccino. I ordered cappuccino there back in November 2021 ...IT IS . To customers loving Coffee avoid LGM cappuccino at all cost. Their cappuccino is just some tasteless Coffee with Chantilly cream that replaces milk. When I called the waitress to explain to her that this is not cappuccino espresso shot with steamed milk foam) and that they should google how cappuccino is made to avoid serving this awful drink to other customers, she tried to convince me that I was wrong and that is how cappuccino is made.
