This place offers a decent menu, good beer and service. Can get rather lively at times with a friendly atmosphere.

As the most of the restaurants that we visited in Dortmund, Kronen was also excellent in terms of delicious kitchen. You can also have a great beer there which is not surprising. For the foreign tourists beware that their POS terminal is having issues with foreign cards. We tried to pay with 6 different cards and no success. In the end I had to go to the cash machine nearby to draw money for the bill, which is not a good option having in mind the taxes of the ATMs abroad. Another negative was the behavior of the waiter solid, tall, blond woman. She was behaving not kind at all. Not taking the orders, not having proper tone into clients and the top was in the end when their terminal didn't work with the cards. She became nervous and pushing us paying the bill. All this after the fact that we asked if they accept international debit cards, when entered the restaurant in the beginning. They let only one of us to leave the place in order to draw money for the bill this is little bit disrespectful.

Love it! Typical German beer atmosphere. Right in the square and all filled with fans having a great time both teams every time I go there, never any bother a tremendous football atmosphere in the centre of the city.

Finally! you can sit on the old market again, eat a salt cake with mett and drink 2 or 3 delicious beeches! the wenkers is still one of the most enjoyable locals in there, also for us sourland, and today a month later we were there again sourland. We found everything again and would like to forgive 5 stars again. but google seems to allow only a one-time assessment for each user and for each locality. So it remains: 5 stars, also on 5.7.2020

Location top in the middle of the city. to sit and relax and drink suitable or to eat delicious it is worth. very busy. price performance is defined here. only recommended.
