Great service today by Jordan, food was hot and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Pub was clean and comfortable and a really nice atmosphere. Great selection of drinks on offer, and reasonably priced.

I had expected this restaurant to be family-friendly, but I was disappointed when a father of two was denied a table where he could keep an eye on his children. He was told that the table was too big for them, only to see a lone pensioner seated there shortly after. The young man at the front of the house was unwelcoming and lacked charisma. The atmosphere was poor, and we will not be returning. The staff should be welcoming and friendly, and the young man today has a lot to learn.

Myself, my husband and a friend went for the festive menu on sunday 10/12/23. We had pre booked and pre ordered our food. On arrival the pub was not overly crowded which was nice and we were seated straight away We were asked if we would like our starters straight away which we did. I had chicken liver pate , my husband had cheesy garlic mushrooms and our friend had prawn cocktail. All the starters were very nice and i was pleasently surprised that there was more than enough butter for the toast, usually i always have to ask for more! We were given tickets to go up to the carvery when we were ready. I had turkey and beef, my husband had pork and gammon and our friend had turkey. We got a pig in blanket a massive home made yorkshire pudding an then a wide variety of vegetables and potatoes. Everything was lovely. We were asked if we would like our pudding, myself and our friend had christmas pudding and brandy sauce and my husband had clemantine tart on chocolate pastry. I asked for extra brandy sauce you never get enough) and we got two portions ! The staff were very friendly and helpful And i was very surprised at bill paying time when the deposit that my uncle had paid was knocked off our bill even though he was unable to come. All in all a very pleasent evening.

Sunday lunch today with friends. Lots of choices of meats vegetables. Everything was tasty hot. Our friends were pleased with both the food and the staff.

Visited a few night ago with family and was served by a wonderful lady called aleisha , she was really helpful especially with my young baby, calming her while she began to fuss. She was really helpful when we were choosing our food and had a lovely manner in general. The food was very nice and it was a great experience overall!
