Ella Hostel - Donabate Ireland

The staff at Ella were lovely and very helpful and the place was clean, but unfortunately the room we stayed in was awful. It was so small we had no room for our suitcases. The bathroom was tiny with no shelves or hook to hang your towel. The toilet made a groaning noise all night. No window to outside so no natural light made me feel like I was in a prison cell. The bed was terrible very hard. Considering we paid €120 I was in shock how appalling it was. We ended up leaving a day early and losing the money. We've come back to Barcelona for the last day of our holiday and stayed at a cheaper place which is 100 times better than Ella and in a better location. Don't be fouled by the pictures on the site the rooms certainly do not warrant the cost.

I booked 28 hours before and due to flight issues I contacted them just a few hours after to cancel and ask for help/refund by paying a fine that they consider obviously. They told me that I needed to cancel 5 days before, did not offer any help, took all my money and I did not use their services. She also got mad because I told her I will leave a negative review for her poor support. Just Make sure you don't book this hotel for quick travel purposes or through Airbnb. Booking gives you better options. Cheers.

Very noisy all night long. Weekends are a nightmare and weeknights as well, completely disrespectful

Went here with a friend and our kids. The employees were really nice and helpful. I would probably not recommend this place due to European breakfast (dry bread and jam is not what I consider breakfast) and to the lousy bunk beds where I could feel every spring (and I 'm lightweight). Also, when I turned off the electric smelly thing another odor took its place not pleasant. However, on a small budget, I wouldn 't hesitate to go here again. The terrace is awesome and everything 's clean.

Hostel is on perfect location No ac in the room. Front desk. She is sweetheart. Always ready to Help you
