Somboon Thai Cuisine - Diberville

Very delicious! I triedthe boom boom shrimp and panang curry. I got medium spicy (3 on a 1-5 scale)and it was good. It got my nose running a little but not too much. The spice built over time but wasn't overpowering. I was very satisfied!

Food was very tasty and fast. I got the Pad Woonsen and ordered it Thai hot but still needed three scoops of chili oil to get it to my level of uncomfortably comfortable hot but I love a lot of spice in my food and admittedly what I find enjoyable would make most tender tummies cry.

Loved this place! The waitresses were really nice. The pan fried gyoza I had was good. They gave me a little sampler spring roll and soup with the meal I ordered and it was good. I can't remember a Thai restaurant ever doing. The yellow curry i had was good but not very spicy. I got the hottest they offered and that didn't make me sweat at all but it was still good. Their thai tea was good as well.

I love Pad Thai and have tried it many places on the coast. Thai Jasmine is the best I’ve had. The vegetables aren’t mushy, they give you fresh bean spouts on the side instead of cooking them in like others did. A nice tangy sweetness with the different textures to chew on. The server was attentive and price is good.

Oh, from the reviews, I wanted to like this place. But it was one disaster after another. Took over 30 minutes for my food to arrive. I was there long enough to watch parties get seated, order, eat and leave, and I was still there. When the order did arrive, it was all wrong, and much spicier than expected. The guest check confirms that the order went to the kitchen at a higher level than requested. If you go, I hope your experience is better than mine.
