We're here for the first time on Mother's Day. we sat in the garden, in the pottery that was a beautiful private room. eating was absolutely excellent and the personal attention without being intrusive. we will definitely be back here.

A lovely pub to stay in and to eat. Quirky room with uneven floor to match the age of the building and the original bath in the room! Menu has particular emphasis on fresh cornish fish and we were spoilt for choice. Many of the dishes were available either as starter or a main. Great continental style breakfast with one of the best bacon sandwiches ever . Fantastic personal service from all staff.

Had an amazing stay with chippy from Adelaide australia at the George and dragon, super warm welcoming and accommodating. Our room didn’t have a shower which was probably our poor planning/ late booking. Chippy gave us the tip to visit Avebury which was so much better for us than stone henge. We also visited the nearby lock at rowde was fascinating. Food was great, service amazing. Thanks chippy and team especially the lovely x army lady you are strong!! We had a wedding nearby which is why we visited.

Great small public house with a select menu with lots of fish dishes. Good host and very pleasant surroundings led to a superb dining experience.

Absolutely fantastic! The garden seating is simply idyllic. The staff handled the busy Mother’s Day rush with grace and professionalism. Our three-course meal for five was served quickly and without any delays. The food was beautifully presented, with generous portion sizes, and it tasted delightful. I have no complaints about the drinks either. If the parking area were a bit larger, this would definitely deserve a 6 out of 5!
