Bidrage med feedbackWhile I only had the salat personally, the service was top notch and the decor was very nice. even the food price at a portion size was decent for being in detroit college city. my only grip was the freezing, but even that was good. only know that it is always taken with an autumn mix of seasons that are sweet or unsweet.
Our entire party was done eating 10 minutes before I even got my food. Then I went to get my fish and chips and BBQ sauce for my child's meal. The BBQ sauce was oily and terrible. The hamburger was dry and the fries on all meals were cold. The waiter had only our table of 4 during our group party and even that seemed to be more than he could handle. The best part of the meal was the water. Salt was caked into shakers. I know people are raving but both times here have been less then stellar. I will not make a third trip here.
The location is nice and is right across from the Detroit Brew House. There is free parking for Traffic Jam Snug if you park in their shared lot with Detroit Brew House which is awesome. The inside is HUGE and uniquely decorated. I would love to see this place when it's busy. We went on a weekday night and it was DEAD quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and our waitress was very nice and personable. The drink selection is pretty good and has a nice variety of domestic and craft beer and a nice craft cocktail menu. The bar can make all the classics as well. The food selection is small and eclectic but I like that over a ton of generic things you get at a typical restaurant. They had burgers, sandwiches, nachos, and all the staple fried foods. But they also had Meatloaf, seafood, and Bibimbop. The food was all good. Very fresh as they Are practically farm to table. Nothing was Outstanding besides the black beans on the nachos but nothing was disappointing or bad by ANY means. Mac and cheese was wiped up to us as amazing and while good, was far from amazing.Highly recommended in the Detroit area for a unique eatery.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Food was delicious. Tony, our server, was hilarious and a down to earth person.....will come back again just because of Tony and the food. Decor was amazing, love the old school pictures on the walls, the Decor on the ceilings and just the odd and ends Decor all around. Great down to earth, family oriented place to be. If you haven't been to this place in the D, then you haven't lived. Go Go Go.
Love trying new places when in Detroit. This place was good, but we won't be in a hurry to return. The food was good, but portions were small and served sporadically. Steak medallions were served first and the next entrée was served a few minutes later and the other three entrees came out about five minutes later. We encouraged people in our party to eat when their food came so it didn't just sit and get cold. Wine by the bottle was a little pricey. One person in our party ordered the tortellini and it came in a bowl the size of a side salad bowl and no extras like a roll or anything. They had great music playing when we got there and a few minutes later it just stopped and never came back on, all you could hear was the kitchen and dishes banging. The bar area is lacking in atmosphere. Luckily the company was good. Just didn't live up to things we had read and why we decided to try it.
