Shield's Restaurant Bar Pizzeria

My pizza was full of sauce and meat like I Love it. My salad was the right portion. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I lived the warmth of Birthday vibes all around me. People were celebrating family friendly events. I left this restaurant filling fulfilled.

Very good take-out visit. One star off since it took longer than the expected time for pizza to be ready, but it was delicious and staff was friendly and attentive!

1st time ordering from here and the pizza was not bad. I wasn't too pleased with the service because I ordered online, arrived at the store 10 minutes after my estimated time, and my order still was not ready. I don't think that they had even started my pizza because when I got there and announced my name, they started scrambling around like they were looking for it. Nobody came to me and said that it would be a few more minutes or anything. I stood and waited for 10 extra minutes and then they bring me my order as if I hadn't been standing there all along. I am a huge believer in great guest service, whether its in a fast food establishment or a 5 star, and if they would have explained why my order, that was already paid for, was not ready then I would have given them 3 stars

Great service, cool place on Wayne State University's campus. Pizza was great, but compared to Detroit area institutions like Buddy's, Cloverleaf, Detroit Style Pizza Co, and Loui's, Shield's comes in last place. This is a high bar to clear and Shields is in good company.

We get the delicious fried zucchini and meatballs every week. For the last 2 weeks they have been burnt or the breading isn't sticking whoever is in the kitchen do better or quit. They taste burn also super disgusting
