Presto Gourmet Deli - Detroit

Love being able to build my salad exactly how I want it. They have fresh fruit and amazing soups. This little gem offers a healthy alternative to the many food options in the area. Always clean, great service.

Food was good. They had burgers pre made, so no wait: Veggie, Turkey and Angus. Other dishes looked visually appealing; however, we stuck with the angus burger. The side of cottage fries was a bit skimpy 4 of them to be exact which was disappointing, yet less temping to eat deep fried hydrogenated starches...

If you want to get the taste of Italy, but don 't want the expense of flying and hotels and all that jazz, I don 't quite think Presto will cut the mustard. Although they specialize in Italian favorites , they seemed to me a wee bit like they came out of a box or can. I wouldn 't say the food is horrible, just not exactly home madeish. The whole place has a very chain restaurant feel to it, and the food tastes a little mass produced; though, not mass produced in Italy.

I get take-out lunch here often. They have a nice selection of meals daily, they have a made-to-order salad station, and the people are always friendly and helpful.

Got some pasta for lunch today and found this curly hair (looks like someone's pubic hair) deeply embedded in my pasta. Almost threw up. Going to talk to their manager about this and probably the last time I will be going there
