Great food cool space friendly service live entertainment a perfect dinner.

Great low key atmosphere, friendly service, unusual (for me) food: shrimp and grits?! It was amazing, I thought I hated grits. Bartender ran out of cherry liquor, so she infused it herself to help make a house specialty drink. Delicious! Location is perfect for dinner before a show at the Opera House.

I really enjoy my dinner so much I cant stop talking about it

We were warmly greeted at the door by the hostess and promptly seated for our 6pm reservations. No one came to the table to greet us nor give us water. It appeared the front end was grossly understaffed with only two servers, the hostess was even helping to serve customers. We tried waving a couple of times to attract a server's attention but it was obvious they were very busy and focused on their tasks. We left after 30 minutes to find another restaurant as we have an 8pm concert to attend.

I had high hopes for dining at this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but it seems like we picked a bad night to visit. Of the 6 people in our group, only one enjoyed their meal - the gumbo. The steaks were overcooked, the shrimp and grits were cold and bland, and the Michigan salad was a disappointment. Our server seemed inexperienced, not knowing the ingredients of the featured cocktails and taking a long time to get back to our table. The atmosphere was very basic, lacking any charm or ambiance. I was also disappointed by the lack of community efforts despite being a non-profit establishment. Overall, a disappointing dining experience.
