Bidrage med feedbackThe pizzas were fantastic and the views were breathtaking. This restaurant is the ideal spot to relax and rejuvenate after a hike on the Monday trail. We highly recommend it.
My family and I stayed at a wonderful accommodation across from the Monsal Head Hotel for a get-together. While walking, we came across the Stable Barn, where we enjoyed some delicious freshly cooked pizzas. The toppings were diverse, the pizzas were hot, and the staff was very friendly. We highly recommend this place.
Firstly walked in and there was somebody outside trying to complete the track and trace but the staff wouldn't help them complete it and couldn't enter. So I helped them and was told it was table service only when walking in. Noticed people going to the bar for drinks and I gave it 5 minutes before giving up. I had joined another small group of friends inside who had their drinks who told me how much they had spent and it was way too much for what it was. Nearly double from elsewhere. Literally feeding on people needing a drink in the trail walks. I noticed other members of public trying to come in and they were not told to do track and trace but to wear a mask. Nobody had masks on in the bar. Nobody was saying they wouldn't wear a mask and was happy to but the staff were so rude about everything they walked out and I followed. Staff basically had no idea about regulations and didn't care. Just in it for money and not with anyone's safety. They don't care about their customers. Would never consider going again unless they get different owners.
The lady at the location who serves you deserves a top 5 stars, i have read the other reviews and would agree to a point, they are a tad abrupt and could soften this we are all stressed with the situation, however if you take on board what they are dealing with at the moment it's a stressful time too for them having to make sure you all check in correctly, my advice would be just follow the rules. Putting this aside the food and drinks are great and we went a fee times and it did get better.
After a 2hr walk to this beautiful spot we went into the pub to use the loo the bar staff was so rude it was unbelievable. the only place open apart from a little tea van they asked us if we was drinking and as we said no they was so Rude I would advise people to avoid this pub. By far the rudest people I have ever seen behind a bar.
