The Old Bowling Green

Staying near by at Cambridge Lodge order four meals. Wow! A simple ordering and collection process. Food still piping hot when served at home. Excellent. Take Away Only.

Rented a house in Winster for the weekend and by having a quick look through the guestbook, the Old Bowling Green was highly recommended! We went for a drink the first evening and were greeted by the loveliest staff; the bar worker at the time was super chatty and friendly and we’re gutted we can’t remember her name. We ended up ordering takeout for the following evening, and it was absolutely delicious (the best chips I’ve genuinely ever eaten). Prices were incredible given the quality. Would completely recommend to anyone visiting the area, 5/5 stars.

Another visit to wonderful Winster so we pre-ordered a takeaway Sunday roast. Generous, hot and delicious. A real treat. Hopefully next time we can eat in the bar again and see this lovely village inn bustling with life once more.

We stayed for one night in September. Bradwell is a good base for a walk which helped us work up a healthy appetite. The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed and the only issue was that the wi-fi did not reach the room. The food in the evening and at breakfast the following morning was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed in Winster and gave the Old Bowling Green takeaway menu a try on our first night. We enjoyed the food and service so much, we used it again and again!
