Sitwell Fish - Derby

Been going here for years fish great chips perfect then a few months ago things changed fish like mush chips not cooked and again another price increase for even smaller portions .

What was once the best chippie for miles is now the worst . Was a regular customer for years but no longer , we now have to drive smoke or so down the road for decent fish and chips and service.

After a Firework show nearby, needed some food, Sitwell Fish Bar was very very busy but the staff cope easily and with the plenty of choices from the menu we were happy with the Doner kebabs and cheesy chips.

Without doubt the best chippy in Derby area by far and I have eaten a lot of chippy food over the decades but these days I can honestly say without doubt this is on a whole other level especially if you like your batter proper crunchy how you remember it there is a vast menu selection with traditional chippy options and obviously then there are the kebabs and they are also amazing but more so the chicken kebabs They if asked and not too busy will also gladly cook something from fresh for you in particular if you require something battered Toni always greets you happy with a smile and he and his staff are very polite but also whenever possible very accommodating so if you haven't already then get yourself into spondon village centre and go try the Sitwell fish bar

My daughter went and brought chips from there today and she asked for a bag of chips and they gave her a white container with chips instead they cost £3.80 . How can u justify that's price in a little container there was not enough in them to feed my kids I could have brought a whole meal for that else were I think the people of spondon have more money than sense will not be going back there and the chips were not that nice
