Shahenshah - Derby

A colleague brought some delicious food from Shahenshahs into the office - veg samosas, meat samosas, and pakoras. They were so tasty that I decided to visit the restaurant myself. Shahenshahs offers a variety of Indian snacks, curries, and sweets. I ordered a mix of samosas, onion bhaji, aloo tiki, and a selection of veg and meat curries, all for under £25. The food was amazing, and I already know where I'll be going for my next party. I highly recommend Shahenshahs.

I have been ordering takeout from Shahenshah for many years now, and it has never let me down. This is our top choice for delicious food at a great price.

Several Sikhs and Hindus, based on their religious beliefs, avoid eating halal meat as it is prohibited for them. Surprisingly, the restaurant displays Sikh religious symbols, which typically indicate that the food is not halal. However, the restaurant has not made any noticeable efforts to clarify that the meat is halal, leading to potential confusion for customers. While it is acceptable for a restaurant to serve halal meat, it is important that customers are not misled in the process.

We had hoped to eat in but the restaurant is not doing that so picked up food to go. Great quality and decent portions. The veggie samosas are brilliant. Will definitely be going back.

Bought veggie samosas very cheap and tasty and tandoori chicken too, cheaper than most places. Great quality Punjabi Indian food
