Bidrage med feedbackThis place is a bit hidden. I went here for a group happy hour. We had one server assigned to the room of about 20, I think he was stretched a little thin but he tried his best. I had an old fashioned, it was good, not too sweet or too strong, I would order it again. I also had a chicken quesadilla. It was tasty. My friend had the mac and cheese. It looked amazing. All in all, I'd definitely go back when looking for a bar in the area.
Food is good. Staff seem nice. Service wasn't exactly on point (both times we came here we ended up waiting for awhile to be served) but it seemed like they were pretty busy so I can't really complain. Be warned: many restaurants/bars in Denver stop serving food early! Like 10pm or 11pm. If you're looking for late night eats, you'll have to really search. We were in town for a few hours and asked some locals for a restaurant suggestion near the capital. We were sent here with rave reviews on the lobster mac and cheese; however I could not resist the meatball sub. It was delicious and large in size. I was super happy that my side salad came with several veggies and not just lettuce. Would definitely go back.
Customer service and the food taste impressed me a lot. This Breakfast and Brunch has delicious Burger and snack items. People make a crowd here for having their favorite dish. I loved Chicken Fried Eggs, Cajun Benedict, Fried Green tomato, and Eggs benedict.
Great atmosphere for a drink and friendly- fast acting staff. The marble bar opens to the patio which is nice. And the inside has a lot of great old details, like tin ceilings, tile and chandeliers. Leather booths and a entirely marble floor in the bathroom with a light through it. The food is kind of hit or miss. I had a Happy Hour Stromboli which was great but the wings I have ordered to-go were just not very good at all. The wings were not very big- or very meaty and cooked unevenly with not enough sauce. I also had the Caesar salad and it was swimming in dressing- the dressing had no real punch of pepper or anchovy, just creamy plain flavor. I will definitely be back because I love the atmosphere and drink options.
Capitol Hill Tavern was abandoned. I own it now and it's Bar Nun Denver. Same location. Twice as much fun.
