Bang Up To The Elephant! - Denver

Our service was very slow, almost every time we were out of a drink, we had our waitress down to ask for refills. Fortunately, the food was delicious, but half of our food came out and the rest did not come for another 20 minutes. Half of our group was ready to eat before the other half got their food.

We started the evening with some delicious cocktails. Although they were quite steep compared to the small glasses, they came in. Next they have online e is NOT what they currently have in the restaurant. In fact, they offered one of the things I came specifically for just the restaurant week deal. So I couldn't get it unless I wanted to be locked in 3 ducks that were nothing I would choose. The food was mediocre at best. Not real The service was not great at all. At a point when we were finished, someone wiped the table, then we sat for 30 minutes until someone came to ask us if we needed anything else. Then, a few minutes later, our waitress will come by to say that she's leaving from someone who takes over. We wanted our check 45 minutes ago. Finally check your bill, they have added our bill drinks that no one in our party consumes.

Really wanted to love this vegetarian-friendly place, but service was really terrible until the point that it ruined our meals when they finally arrived AN HOUR AND A HALF after we had set ourselves!! And the meals? Sounds great in the menu, not to deliver. Most of us have not even finished our meal, because it was just not good. Even the Banana Ballz bakery they gave us to try to eat on the wait was worth it. The decor was eclectic and funny, but the Port-a-potty doors on the bathrooms was a great miss. Seriously?! Are there any positive or fun at a port-a-potty?? Most males seemed to drink quite steadily, so perhaps the drinks are good, or perhaps that is what you need to get through this experience. Sorry, I could have left a great review for you!

We visited Bang Up To The Elephant! as part of restaurant week. We were very excited to try out their food and drinks and experience the beautiful atmosphere. It was really easy to get a reservation and the table was ready when we got there. Our waitress very much acted like she didn't want to be there and was far from attentive (we are not a needy group, either). As far as the appetizers and entrees, I would say that it was all mediocre. Not bad but absolutely not stellar. The dessert was the worst part of the meal unfortunately. It was dry and none of us ate it. It almost felt like it was the last few pieces that had been sitting out in the kitchen all day. Our reservations were for 8:30 and at 9:30 the waitress told us it was last call which was strange because it was a Saturday night and the website made it seem like they were open late for drinks. We were pretty disappointed to have to finish up quickly because the best of the entire meal was the drinks and we would have stayed longer. We will definitely give it another shot because the atmosphere and drinks were great and it has fantastic reviews. Maybe it was just an off night due to restaurant week?
