The Deland Stockyard

This area has a serious lack of restaurants offering brunch. I was disappointed when I found out the Stockyard discontinued their brunch. However, the menu selection was enough to be a decent brunch spot when you 're trying to avoid the downtown DeLand Bike Week traffic. The hostess seated us quickly and it wasn 't busy at 11:30 when we got there. Thankfully, they still served mimosas and we had excellent service which lessened the 'no brunch ' blow. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and Gator Tail as appetizers. They didn 't quite stand out against our other meals but not bad either. They could have used a pop in flavor but we 're good enough to order again. The boys ordered the French Dip and Blackened Prime Rib sandwiches with fries. Their fries are a crispy thick curly fry and a perfect combination with prime rib sandwiches. I am picky with my fry texture and taste and think they were both unique and perfectly prepared. I ordered the Steak Tips and they were an excellent brunch substitute. They came out in a mini cast iron pan filled with melted garlic butter. You could dip anything in that mixture and suddenly it would be the best thing you have ever eaten. The Tomahawk Steak was an impressive way to start our Saturday morning. Topping the steak with sauteed mushrooms gave it a little extra flavor and was a nice pairing. If you come certain nights there will be a different vibe with live music and good menu specials. The Stockyard is a nice way to eat local, and get a good steak dinner. It 's not a bad option for a date night either. Service Food Vibe

This place was so great!! Good food....but a great place for kids outdoor seating was perfect. The staff was amazing and the guy who played music got our kids involved in the karaoke and they danced away our kids are 2 and 3 and it's always hard to go to places but I was so grateful for this environment after along day at the beach :

First time here, will definitely be back. Wife’s filet was the most tender she has ever tasted. My grouper portion was huge!

Busy place on a Saturday as expected but we were seated quickly and helped right away. Our server kept our table of six filled with drinks and anything thing else we needed. The onion loaf and fish bites were very well seasoned and tasty. Only one of us did not have their meal cooked as requested but it was really good anyways. Fun and comfortable outdoor seating area as well as music with piano music indoors.

First time going. Food was excellent! I had the steak Mac and Cheese and my boyfriend had steak tips. I also had a mudslide which was excellent. I also had my dog with me which was awesome. Sat on the patio, we had a fan which helped us stay cool in the Florida heat. The waitress brought out a bowl of water for my pup. Super friendly staff. Will definitely be going back!
