Positano Trattoria Pizzeria - DeLand

A gem in Downtown DeLand, FLEverything from scratch. We had stuffed mushrooms, brunette, penne a la vodka, tortellini , pizza Margherita, house salad...all fresh and very good.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. Owner was very personable and kind. You have to try their food!

Having moved to Deland from the northeast, the best Italian food around, we were on the lookout for good Italian food in Deland. We went to Positano, and WOW! The staff was amazing, and the food is some of the absolute best that we have ever eaten. The care and love that Salvatore puts into his cooking is highly evident. I had the absolute pleasure to speak with him after our meal. He is the real deal, and so is his food. He definitely does his heritage proud. This is now our favorite go to place, and it will be with much anticipation to go back. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in to try the food. GRAZIE!!

My husband and I split the Spaghetti Carbonara, and daughter had the Penne Vodka with chicken. I must say the Spaghetti Carbonara was excellent, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her Penne Vodka with chicken. I also had a Chardonnay and hubby had a Merlot, both of which were super tasty. Service was excellent as well, but not much in the way of 'atmosphere '. Nonetheless, downtown Deland has 'atmosphere ' unto itself, so sitting outside to eat our delicious Italian was great! Definitely going back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options, all handmade pasta.Parking: 3 hour public parking lot directly across the street.

Hailey our waitress is a gem! She was so attentive and sweet, we even watched her help an older woman outside and give her water during this heat wave. They even allowed us to eat inside with our puppy to cool off and brought her a bowl of cold water. The service was above and beyond and the food was sooo delicious! We could smell the freshly baked pizzas down the block!! For three of us and drinks it was an affordable 40$. I highly recommend this place and it will forever be on my favorites list when visiting this historic downtown strip!
