So delicious. Possibly best steak I’ve had in years! Up there with high end food worth every penny. Lovely waitstaff and calming atmosphere.

Went out tonight for a birthday, my grandma’s. She is a woman of incredibly refined tastes and has said this is her favourite restaurant in Deland. The cozy yet elegant atmosphere is inviting and the food does not disappoint. We started with escargot, then for our entrees we had the filet and the evans farm chicken. Absolutely wonderful! The chicken was moist and the flavours of the cheese compliment it perfectly. Staff were attentive and polite. Great place to visit for a nice dinner in Deland!

Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Worth the wait. The staff as well as the hostess make you feel welcomed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the dish ingredients and very attentive but not overwhelming. Very helpful. The manager as well very attentive and friendly. The chef at this restaurant is wonderful. I love the shrimp and grits. The rose wine was also a good choice. My husband loved his chicken roulade. Would definitely come here again. Very recommended.

My wife and I dined at Cress for their Valentine 's Day 4 Course Meal. We drove from Orlando and stayed at the Courtyard downtown, walking distance from the restaurant. The food itself was superb, it exceeded expectations and was a fine dining experience. They have a great wine list, pair your meal with a bottle of Justin 'Isosceles ' Red Blend and you are golden. They were very busy and everyone hustling to get things done. Some reviewers complain about slow service, but if you 're there for the food and to enjoy the night, you can 't go wrong. These days every place is busy and as diners we should understand. Our server, Suran, was working really hard and running all around, had a great sense of humor, and food and wine knowledge. At the end of the night we thanked her for her awesome service and raved about the delicious meal, at which point she revealed she was the owner of Cress...our jaws dropped. Her husband Tom also owns/manages Cress and together they provide an amazing dining experience. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
