Driftwood Inn - Deer Lake

We arrived late in the evening after a delayed flight. The woman at the front desk waited for us and checked us in quickly because we were exhausted. The beds were very comfortable, prompting us to request a late check-out without hesitation. The hotel was a bit out of the way, but it was quiet and very clean. We would stay here again.

The food was prepared quickly, cooked perfectly, and tasted delicious. The service was excellent, as always. This is one of our top choices for dining out.

We booked two nights in driftwood inn. when we checked in, the air conditioning system was full of explosion and we had a lot of difficulty switching it off. it was so loud that we couldn't talk. it was really hot. Outside, but we were absolutely ice cold. my man managed to get it under control, but reported it at the reception when we returned to this hotel at the end of our trip. on the way back we were given in the same room and guess what? the air conditioning was back on the full explosion so that my man told it another time at the reception I wonder how it was for the next guests who used this room? . also the very small double bed was extremely unpleasant for two people. a suggestion would be to put two single beds in these rooms, as there was a lot of wasted space. our first night there, we arrived late because our ferry came after 19:00 clock to port aux basques. when we left the ferry and drove to the lake, it was near 10:00 a.m. there is a jungle jim in the hotel, but it was already closed. we were really hungry and there was nothing else that was open except a w, so we had to eat there.

Very picturesque motel in old style. two days and no elevator. the rooms were all updated and the staff very friendly and helpful. motel reminds of a good old time. comfortable beds and quiet rooms.

The staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. Although the room was decent and had updated fixtures, the floors were noticeably off level. The door to the room was particularly problematic, as it sat flush to the floor on one end but left a significant gap of about 3 inches at the other end.
