Cafe Alsace - Decatur

Had the most pleasant experience. Both the waitress and owner gave us excellent service. The food did not disappoint. The beef Wellington was incredible while being reasonably priced. The chicken breast was great too. Do not pass up an opportunity to come here and make sure to split a bottle of wine with company.

We were looking for a new, interesting place and came across Cafe Alsace. This is a small, quiet little french restaurant that feels like a piece of France was dropped in the middle of Decatur Square. I have a love of escargot in Garlic and Parsley butter, so I had to order theirs. To my delight, it came out with as many slices of their homemade baguette as escargots (6). This is an absolute gem of a place in downtown Decatur. Prepare to be transported to a French cafe. And their food, they have daily specials and a wonderful regular menu. Y'all know I love those places where everything on the menu is so tempting that you already know what you are ordering the next two or three visits. We had the special savory crepe, a delicious mix of chicken, sausage, goat cheese and wild rice, with a side of French onion soup. My favorite sandwich is the prosciutto ham, brie and apple on pretzel bread, which I always get with a side salad. Excellent wine list as you would expect. And those desserts... you have never had a macaron until you have had one at Alsace Cafe. They are melt in your mouth delicious. Do not miss an opportunity to visit!

Incredible French restaurant! Worth seeking it out. I had the Nages St. Jacques which was literally one of the best things I have eaten in years.

My husband and I came here tonight for our date night. It was our first visit and also our first time trying French food. First, the staff is beyond friendly, they're so helpful and don't mind taking their time talking to you and made us feel welcome. The food was far beyond any expectations we had, so delicious, great portion, the wine, coffees and dessert we got we're also amazing. The owner was a kind and friendly, and we saw made time to visit each table as well as ours. We will absolutely be back and are so excited to try everything else on the menu. New favorite date night spot
