Umi Hibachi Express - Daytona Beach

Didn't like the food at all. I am from the city and the hibachi Express place in my city is really good and I always love their food, so maybe I had high expectations in this place. But I had no part of it. The salad dress was not good. Steak wasn't good. Yam sauce wasn't good. The rice was bland. Didn't even try the vegetables because of the disappointment of everything else. I couldn't stop it either.

Nothing to write home. No taste. Worse Chicken hibachi I had a lot to date. And the yam sauce was a joke. Creepy guy peering from behind curtains while he makes orders. On the bright side... The cashier was friendly.

This is my favorite going to place when I ever visit the beach area, discovering it about a year ago and must say they do a wonderful work. The food is always properly cooked and prepared, the portions are perfect, and the customer service is always on the point. Will be back soon.

I eat here once or twice a week and never have a bad experience. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently great. Steak hibachi is comparable to other similar restaurants at half price. Hibachi express because there is no show. Definitely recommend!

I usually cross the bridge to get Asian food at a different location. I tried this restaurant because it was much closer to me on beachside. The orange chicken was really good. The vegetable fried rice was super fresh and the hibachi steak was tender and tasty. We had various appetizers and some other of the usual entrees and honestly everything was good and nothing was leftover which is unusual for us. Definitely worth the visit.
