Country Fried Chicken Stokes Valley

After a few months not visiting CFC SV I paid them a visit on the weekend. I was disappointed at the cleanliness of the shop and the quality of the oil used to prepare the fried chicken. There was an oily residue all over the surfaces including the glass on the foood warmer, on the covid protection screen and the inside of the windows. The smell of burnt oil used in the fryer was very strong and you could tell it hadn't been changed in a while. My visit was in the middle of the day and oil doesn't go off the quickly if it was changed that day. I still decided to go ahead and make a purchase but regretted it when I got my food home. The taste of burnt/dirty cooking oil was all through the chips, chicken fillet in my burger and even my chicken nuggets. I think there may have been a change of ownership and the new owners do not maintain the same level of cleanliness as the other owners. I am sorry for the harsh comments but there needs to be improvements made before I revisit this store.

Best chicken in the Valley!! Great people and great service.

Spent $40 to recieve under cooked chicken, cold hard potatoe and gravy and soggy cold chips. Definatly will not be back!
