Shiva - Dax

We went for an evening meal expecting decent Indian food, given its 4 star rating. The garlic naan was good so our mouths watered in anticipation of our main dish. Firstly, it would have been a good idea to bring the naans out with main dish but never mind. My chicken masala arrived. 2 small boney pieces of the cheapest chicken in brown tastless water. Rice was boiled with a handful of frozen veg thrown in for good measure. Husbands biriyani rice arrived without curry sauce. After asking where it was she then decides to cook it. How can any food be cooked, supposedly in spices, while removing ALL flavour? There was absolutely no taste of anything in any if the food served. We were so hungry and tried to eat the vile looking food infront of us. Half way through we gave up. If I could give minus star on this website I would give it a minus....10. The food not only looked awful but it was baffling how there could be no flavour at all, in anything apart from the garlic in the garlic naan. A massive disappoint and leaves me wondering how this place has received anything but 1 stars.

We arrived just after opening time of 7.15pm and had to wait ages for both first and second courses. The first course was OK but there were no sauce accompaniments to the Pakoras/Samosas. The main courses, which were chicken based were dreadful. Firstly they were on the bone and secondly they had never been marinaded. The sauces had clearly just been poured over the chicken so the taste was completely bland. The Nan breads were brought with the first course so they were cold when the main course arrived almost 30 mins later! They should take lessons from the Punjab restaurant in Angers which was excellent.

Excellent place, went there last year with my gf and her mother and we loved all the dishes. The owners were super nice the whole time and we enjoyed the experience... This place was a lot better than any Indian in Spain.

Excellent, highly recommend this restaurant, really nice chef and waiter, excellent naan bread, just to very much curry. Chicken Kashmiri was beautiful!
