Bidrage med feedbackCuencos offers a variety of noodles and rice dishes at affordable prices. The service is satisfactory and the food is delicious. I particularly enjoyed their Laksa, which was impressive. The staff is friendly, but the service can be slow. Despite being one of only three groups in the restaurant, it took almost 40 minutes to be served. However, the wait was worth it, although it may not be suitable if you are very hungry and impatient.
I have been to this restaurant twice in the last 4 days. I tried the Szechuan spicy noodles, Char kway teow, and batil patong. The Szechuan noodles were not spicy at all and were quite different from the original dan dan noodles found in other Southeast Asian countries. The Char kway teow was also different from the versions in Singapore and Malaysia. Despite the names of the dishes not matching the expected flavors, everything was delicious. In fact, these were probably the best noodles I have had in the Philippines. I highly recommend this place. Our friends and family also ordered rice dishes that they said were really good. We will definitely be coming back here again!
Driving over the restaurant looks really promising. The name suggests that they offer really good rice and pasta dishes. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre... we ordered the Lomi, who was too salty and tasted nothing like Lomi. The mangosalate was too sharp. And the crispy jug, although pretty and crunchy was paired with really bad tasting and bad texture rice. The interior was pretty and pleasant, but the menu lacked something interesting and did not really highlight any noodle or rice dish. The price is affordable, so food was probably bad. For me, it's not worth even trying.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced, but we experienced a significant delay in receiving our food. Despite there only being one other customer who had already been served, it took over 30 minutes (closer to 40 minutes) for our food to arrive at our table.
Food is quite good- there are food that we liked but some we didn't like that much. The rice topping that we liked is their beef salpicao which I've had. But their arroz ala cubana is kinda' salty for my hubby . We also tried their buffet on a special occasion like last Mother's Day but we were quite disappointed with the food fare. Much were not to our liking because we thought they could have more variety fit for all ages/markets. We had to order another dish ala carte for my mom-in-law. But sadly, we also didn't expect it the way we knew the dish pancit palabok with soup? so we had to take it out, too. The good thing is we liked the desserts like leche flan and their popular sago-gulaman drink which is very refreshing and good. They could improve more on their dishes like the tenderness of the pork and the overall taste, etc and hopefully we can be back.
