Bidrage med feedbackI was in the area with my parents in October 2015. Older Chinese people have the weird need to eat something with rice each day, so I begrudgingly went to this place with parents, even though I wanted to eat some non-Asian food in the area. The food is not bad, although definitely nothing so memorable to have etched any permanent impression in my brain. We ordered two fried rices and some dumplings. My dad was very unhappy with the service. We did not order any drinks because a). parents are allergic to overpriced stuff and b) a lot of Asians don't drink. The waiter dropped by a few time to ask if everything was okay, in typical American waiter fashion, nothing surprising about that. Then my dad said that the waiter mustered some curses under the breath after we said we aren't ordering more stuff. I was sitting with my back facing the waiter, so I didn't see it, but I trust my dad's eyes. Now, if we aren't throwing money in the restaurant, and hence indirectly causing you to have less tip income at the end of the day, you still have no reason to behave this way. Another thing I found ridiculous is how uneducated the waiter is about Asian food in general. He was literally going by the menu, and could not answer simple questions. If I were the owner, I'd pay some attention to that. In this day and age, it is just bad business to hire an ignorant, bad mannered person to face customers.
The food was tasty and high quality, especially the Chinese (there is very little good Chinese delivery in Miami). But, for delivery the portions were absurdly small, especially the fried rice, Lo Mein and lobster tempura roll. $90 inc. tip fed two of us (Lo Mein, fried rice, three rolls and edamame).
Went to this restaurant while in South Beach, the food and drinks were great but this restaurant is advertised on a certain site and we had a check from that company and once we tried to pay the 'manager ' said they do not accept checks. Even when explaining this wasn 't a personal check it was from a company they do business with they still would not take it. It should clearly be stated on OpenTable Otherwise I would not have chosen this restaurant as south beach has plenty of other places to choose from. I work in hospitality and just because you are in a high tourist area does not been you ignore customers are dissatisfied as the manager did when I said I was not happy with this. Will not recommend to anyone I speak to and I will relaying what happened. Teach your management word of mouth is the best type of advertisement.
Food was good but a little overpriced (welcome to Ocean Drive! portions were on the smaller side. Service and cocktails were great.
When it was Sushi couture I was madly in love with this place and it's great food, drinks and service. It's a taco joint now with 99 cent taco specials. So rare to find inexpensive delish food on Ocean Drive so grab a taco and a drink and smile...it's Miami.
