Bidrage med feedbackWe decided to try Tan's takeout option and were pleasantly surprised. Our order was ready for us when we arrived and was all correct. The meals were delicious, filling, and still warm by the time we got home. Each of us ordered a different combination plate and were all pleased with both the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely be returning in the future.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and got beef curry with raw vegetables, raw "chow mein" without noodles, bulk spring rolls, and battered shrimp. When I called to complain about the poor quality of the food, there was no apology or resolution offered. The response I received was that I should have requested the vegetables to be cooked and that chow mein doesn't actually contain noodles, even though "mein" means noodle in Chinese. I mentioned the potential danger of undercooked beansprouts to the vulnerable, but they showed no concern. I eventually ended the conversation out of boredom. I suggest saving your money and avoiding this place.
My husband and I ordered takeout as the restaurant is closed for seating due to the pandemic. I ordered a vegetarian combo and a mushroom foo young for myself. The vegetarian combo was 99% bean sprouts, watery, and tasteless. The only other vegetables included were a tiny piece of cauliflower and a thin slice of carrot. Even the rice in the combo was mostly bean sprouts. The mushroom foo young was burnt, with a noticeable burnt egg smell as soon as I opened the container. I was very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. My husband said his lemon chicken was okay, but not great. Overall, this was a waste of $50.
We were a party of about 15, they had the tables ready for us, Not sure if the waitresses were new or overwhelmed by the large party of us, they did wait on us with a smile, and we received our meals in a timely fashion, I found the food good, I especially enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, they were huge, and not all coating like some places, huge pieces of chicken, was really good...The confusion seem to be when it was time for the bills, they tried to deliver some of the bills, then put them on the table in front of one of the customers, and said to sort them out ourselves...some that noticed it, were a bit shocked, myself included...That being said I think everyone enjoyed their meal, and my husband and I returned a few days later for take out, it was really good, however the broccoli and carrot could have used another minute of cooking, but everything was hot and good...We will return
Good. So far one of the very few good ones in Dartmouth. Reason for only 2 stars the rice was burnt, not only could you taste is while we were waiting for our meal I said to my family/friends I smell something burning. Turns out was our dish......huh. So not only could you taste it you could smell it as well. Good size portions though. Dont understand though why is it that every combo and every dinner includes RICE I do know it is a staple dish but some people dont like rice and if you want to subsitute it for what I wanted cost extra (very much extra)so for the patrons out there who dont like everything someone else choses for you then this place even though the food is one of the better ones this side of the bridge if you want what you want could turn out to be a little pricey. Good service, however not many people in resturant but the staff seemed to be run off their feet. Dont know if was organizing or have much to do in kitchen but they seemed to be in big hurray to check other things. Did ask how things were but not real intrested in response.
