Bidrage med feedbackThis place is definitely my fav in Darmstadt and finally open after the winter period. Definitely worth the (short) drive from where I live. Flavours are consistently great albeit they did not have all my favourites yet...but the season is just starting. chocolate, amarena,...tiramisu, banana and stracciatella...just reliable quality year after year... After the disappointment of DaCarlo this year, this place will be my go to place not only during the weekend but also on weekdays. Last not least: prices are relatively low compared with the other places in the city....still only 1 Euro per scoop.
No, the flavors are nothing out of the ordinary. There are no crazy experimental flavors going on. The owners play it safe and make the traditional lineup of Italian favorites. From Malaga to cinnamon, from Ferrero to panna cotta. The place is simple, just the...way the typical Italian seasonal gelato place looks like. However, the consistency is the best I have tried in Germany and the flavors are, while simple, quite good. Definitely worth a visit, especially because they are open late.
This place has been there for ever. It serves traditional Italian Gelato made by the owner himself. He is basically always there and serves the gelato himself. Eissalon Venedig has also a cafe and seats in the back and offers many different desserts and excellent...espresso. I always end up eating at least 4 scoops. My favourite flavours are: Cassata, Cinnamon...and chocolate. But you can basically take anything all flavours are delicious. A bad thing is parking as I mostly go there by car on the way home, I sometimes have to park in front of a garage and run to pick up the gelato...and unfortunately, they close in October and do not open until March... A family owned business that should be definitely supported.
In the heart of Darmstadt, this is probably one of the best icecream in the area. Their reputation is based on decades of operation.
