Bidrage med feedback"The restaurant offers good value for money, especially since they provide generous portions. However, the small chips were not worth the price. The rest of the food was greasy and average. It wasn't exactly what we had in mind when craving a delicious meal. Overall, we wouldn't return."
Do not bother spending your money here. I paid only $17 for what was supposed to be a fish and chips meal, but received an oversized fish with just 10 chips. When I called to complain, they showed no concern at all.
Wow, I was extremely disappointed when I tried the sweet lips fish at this restaurant. The taste was terrible, like eating cables, and the texture was unpleasant. The atmosphere was not enjoyable either. Looking at the photos, you can see that the quality of the food was not up to par. With all the ongoing health concerns, I doubt that this restaurant will be able to stay in business with their high prices. The sweet lips fish dish now costs $12 each, which is not worth it at all.
Easy access to the southern end of West Street on the rather lively little Westridge Plaza. Many parking places, and I think there were public toilets in the middle somewhere. Wheelchair access OK. Tip: Parking around the back. The shop is located at the rear... the center of West Street (on the eastern side). Most of the food places are quite happy lately, as Covid restrictions begin to facilitate, and the potential for them actually start to return normally. I said the most... as the first painter in the late noon walked in here. Three pretty uninterested employees on shift. The Chap, assigned to the front counter, looked at us from what he did, made eye contact and then looked down again. That's okay... we get that sometimes you just have to finish what you do. No problems we weren't in a hurry... Anyway, he's starting to go when another customer came in. So chap passes and serves other customers first. No joke. You don't... do this in a service industry unless you're stuck for bad feedback! 1 star lost immediately. We wanted to order fish and chips for 5. This is the first fish business I've been in for years, which obviously doesn't make multipacks. Methodology for several services is apparently the good old “price for a ... times 5” routine. Half a star. Stuff in the display cabinet saw OK seemed freshly prepared; reasonable waiting time. food separately packed in white butcher paper (hooray!!; Fish had the same number of lemon wedges... super. I'll take pictures. Good size is used by chips. Precise number of small fish portions ordered (it is common for good places to throw a little extra on larger orders. No tartar or other spice was delivered. Everything was well cooked and hot. Since all 5 of us are food aficionados, we want to score the stuff around the table together. The Consensus ranged for the chips by a 4 and varied between a 2 and a 3 for the fish. It was a little soggy, and some felt that it didn't taste particularly. One of our groups could not eat them as a result. The other big daddy question that we put at the end of the meal is a simple one.... we would go back. The majority response was no. It's only fought to a three in my books, but others felt that 2.5 had been more accurate.
Always a pleasure walking into smiling faces and helpful staff. Great fish and chips, we enjoy our fish crumbed and they do amazing home made potato scallop.
