Bidrage med feedbackThe same staff has been there years. Fast easy pizza, kids like it, and they do parties there, but the taste of the pizza is not an adult favorite. I’ll eat it, but after having better pizza ?Save this one for the kids
Best pizza around my new favorite pizza place. Also have a huge menu of items. I'm working on trying it all.
So let me preface this review by saying that I use to live down the street for over 20 years! Our business office is still here in Danville, so I 'm still here a lot. And as a previous restaurant owner in Lafayette, I have the propensity to be a little more critical when I go out to eat. Critical, in retrospect to be observant and fair in terms of expectations. I 'm pretty easily amused and pretty easy to please. I 'm a s and glutton for awesome customer service. With the right customer care I will empty out my wallet and I will throw money at you! It is always a joy to spend money on a well oil machine of a restaurant. Upon arrival the place was pretty empty. They had a group of 5 or so in the back portion of the restaurant. We came in around 5:50 pm on a Thursday night. This would be my first visit to Garlex Pizza. Considering I 've been around here for 20 years, I walked in wondering what i have been missing? My business partner suggested this place as we needed to meet up for pizza (I was craving a pie! And do a little business. We both brought in our laptops needing to work on some stuff that required a laptop. 99.9% of establishments in 2022 has wifi. Well this place apparently is that 0.01% that DOES NOT. Let me state by saying that we really were not too bothered they didn 't have wifi, to be honest. A simple act of walking to my car grabbing my charger and tethering did the trick. What did bother me, and that is leading to my critique, is that I had to ask/mention 3 times to see if we can get on line. And all 3 times they had no attempt to even let us know they tried and failed. I had to keep going back into the kitchen area. As they were literally lounging back there. Oh, and as customers were in the front waiting to be served btw...The non existent customer care is really the issue here. I 'm gonna be honest if I 'm at your restaurant and you accept my money I now have become a customer. And being a customer I 'm gonna have certain expectations, such as common courtesy and at least acknowledgement. Too much to ask? I don 't think so. Moving on to the pie. It was OK. Pretty salty and really nothing to write home about. Which I consumed though, because I was hungry and I freaking love pizza, who doesn 't, right? The young kid that brought the pie out seemed to be a nice kid. High school, idk, we Asains tend to hide our age really well : . Now the older guy in the back, wow! Your customer service skills, also wow! He 's the culprit that is prompting me to write this critique. More or less, let 's say, non existent customer care. I actually RARELY write negative reviews, you really have to be that bad of a brick and mortar restaurant to set me off. I actually deleted what I really wanted to say. I 'm going to stay as nice as I can and for my Yelp! Community, stay within the guidelines. I 'll leave you with my final thoughts... Brick and mortar restaurants have 2 jobs. 1 Serve good, sanitary food and 2 be awesome at customer service. Reality. We patrons have many choices around us to where we want to spend our hard earned money. Note to yourself. Man, I should of just simply took my lazy a out of the kitchen and acknowledged those two guys and simply say, sorry guys our wifi is down. Does that sound really that difficult to do? Maybe after the 3rd time I walked back there you would of figured it out that these guys really want to get on line? Idk, just a thought. In my days as a restauranteur, I made it a big deal to tell my employees to acknowledge everyone that came in to our establishment. We are in a field where there is no respecter of persons. A field where no skin color, class or image will ever make a difference how we treated our customers. I truly wish for your success and hope you will learn to treat all customers with awesome care. Trust me, it 's worth it in the long run, and it 's what you signed up for!
We moved to the area 3 months ago. Garlex has become our go to pizza place. The toppings are fresh. The sauce is on point. And the crust balances everything together.
Love this pizzeria. Jose is the stand out man! Great customer service and quality food and drinks. Not going to get bougie drinks, it's a pizza and beer kinda ol school setting.
