Bidrage med feedbackHad crab roll w/fries salmon tacos w/red beans rice. Huge food and I can honestly say BEST SEAFOOD we ate in Texas. Order extra red beans rice taco sauce to go. Next time, we are in the city definitely planning to return. The outdoor market was a plus.
My buddy said I don't find good seafood in Dallas? I told him he didn't try Rex? Market. This place is excellent. Casual Food Court atmosphere but food, the 5-star quality. Fresh seafood is incredible. You really know how to make all kinds of seafood and the portions are generous. Carabiner rolls, oysters, soles, shrimps, squids and on and on.
I was really excited to try this place. I visited yesterday and was disappointed. One of my favorite food convenience dishes is fish n chips, so I decided to try it here. A big mistake! At first the fish was GREASY. So if you don't want your fish to be fed into oil, I wouldn't order that. I used napkins to remove the oil. Next, the fish just tasted okay. I was like the cook almost burned the fish and instead of a fresh batch served it anyway. But it was my first time here, so maybe all the fish taste like that. Then let's talk about it. I never avoid eating Pommes, because I really enjoy eating French Pommes. These fries weren't good at all. I tried two and left the rest on the record. The only good? Surprisingly, the only thing I really liked was one side! The fish n chips came with one side and I chose the mixed vegetables. Whatever the sauce they use, it tastes great. It was just a mixture of onions, broccoli and carrots. And it tasted better than the fish n chips. Morality of this story. Don?t order the fish n chips unless you want burned oily fish. I heard the Ceviche was pretty good, so try it instead or really everything else. There is also a ton of other providers and restaurants. At the next visit I will try one of the other restaurants instead.
It was mix of feelings for my party of 20... Those who had fresh or grilled food were happy with their meals, but those who had fried items were disappointed. I think the roasted oil was old and burned, which tastes bad. I had the fish and chips and the fish was very dark oily and tastefully burned. My side of mixed vegetables was really good and was the only thing I ate. I don't like throwing food away, but I couldn't force myself to eat the oily burnt food.
Rex's seafood and Market is AMAZING.... great location great vibe... the Lady who check me out walked me through all the wild caught fish and seafood options because I only eat wild caught... she was very welcoming and could tell she loves her job and does a great job. You can dine in and eat there or get fresh fish to go... I just cooked the wild caught red fish and it was amazing. Keep up the great work I'll be back very soon.
