Restaurante Pitahaya - Crucecita

We ate very well at his restaurant and, even better, we were smart enough to hire him to cook for us in our loft ... 5 days of flawless breakfasts and lunches consisting of enchiladas suizas, paella, huevos oaxaquenos and more. Can’t recommend him highly enough.

Well a pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting much and heard good things from the day menu. We were late coming in but the staff were happy to take care of us. After seeing the specials even though they sounded great we ordered off the menu and within a reasonable time the food came. Well nice sized portions for both of us well seasoned. Steak with the fixins and tuna tartar with mango and avacado. Great margarita and of course really cold beer.

Wonderful way to spend a Friday evening. Fabulous dinner and then a Movie on the small theater. Don't miss it!9

Outdoor seating located at Massiones Cruz Des Mar. Food is pricier than many locations but tasty. Also has banquet facilities. Jorge Galvez plays there starting at 7 on Wednesday nights. Pretty setting by the pool.

We keep on returning to Pitahaya and the dinners are consistently excellent in terms of taste, textures and presentation. The owner/chef has a way of preparing fresh local fish that enhances, rather than masks, the flavors. For those who do not like fish, there are selections of meat that carnivores tell us are great. Desserts are sinfully scrumptious. Diners have a choice of views of the pool or sitting on the terrace overlooking Huatulco. The staff are welcoming yet very professional. Friday nights are movie nights including a prefixe 3 course dinner and a film in a small screening room. Most recent films included Snowden and Scully. Reserve in advance since the seating is limited.
